The Steel Yankee Dryer TT SYD is a revolutionary product for the world of tissue production. Thanks to its remarkable experience in manufacturing steel dryers for paper & board machines, Toscotec developed this concept, finally installing its first Steel Yankee Dryer in year 2000.

Due to its innovative technical characteristics and to its construction, TT SYD guarantees a higher drying capacity and significant energy savings when compared to conventional cast iron Yankee dryers. Each TT SYD size features a high flexibility in defining paper sheet width on the face length. Toscotec’s broad manufacturing experience assures the highest construction quality of TT SYD and an absolute operating reliability. Manufactured, tested and stamped according to European (PED), American (ASME), P.R. China (CSEI) and Japanese (JIS) regulations, TT SYD is capable to operate up to 10 bar(g) of steam pressure.

Among the various features one of the most appreciated is that, given the same face length of the dryer, the design of the TT SYD with flat heads allows for a wider tissue sheet to be dried. This advantage is of great interest in case of replacement of an existing cast iron Yankee. Even using the same Yankee framing it is possible to increase the net sheet width at the Pope reel allowing thus Toscotec to be very competitive in offering reliable and fast pay back solutions for rebuilding projects in tissue industry.

TT SYD patented head thermal insulation is also available for providing reduction of the heat losses, increasing the energy saving.
