Toscotec paper machines and technologies are installed worldwide. In these pages, you will find details and specifications of each single solution we can provide for different paper grades.
Our mill surveys have allowed clients worldwide to pinpoint their issues and devise simple action plans to increase efficiency and output. Our fast response times and efficient problem solving ensure smooth operations of our machines and components.
In this section of our website we will be exploring and discussing Toscotec’s pioneering work on energy savings, our case histories, comments and suggestions for more efficient and environmentally friendly paper making.

Toscotec started its production of Steel Dryers in the early 60s and, so far, more than 1000 units, with various diameters, face lengths and working pressures, have been manufactured. Thanks to its latest developments, Toscotec can today deliver high tech Steel Dryers with reduced delivery time at competitive costs.
The TT SteelDryer provides a long operating life combined with an extremely high drying capacity. Using a TT SteelDryer instead of conventional cast iron cylinders offers significant benefits from both economic and operational points of view, whether installed in a new drying section or to revamp an existing unit. Heat exchange with a TT SteelDryer is 30% higher than with cast iron cylinders due to the lower shell thickness.
In the case of a new paper machine, it is possible to use fewer dryers, which reduces both the investment cost and space requirement. Otherwise, where modification to an existing paper machine is involved, installing the same quantity of dryers delivers a higher drying capacity.
Thanks to its construction with flat heads welded to the shell, TT SteelDryer dries a wider paper sheet than a conventional cast iron cylinder with the same face length.
